Expected Impact
TECH4EFFECT will enable benchmarking of improvements in sustainable forest management practices contributing to increasing productivity, cost-effectiveness and reducing environmental impact of the European forestry sector.
- Impact 1: Improving efficiency in silviculture and harvesting operations
- Impact 2: Improving accessibility to wood resources leading to a significant increase in productivity in forest operations over a representative period of time.
- Impact 3: Increasing forest operations output minimising environmental impacts: reducing soil disturbance, efficiently & more efficiently extracted grot (residuals)
- Impact 4: Reducing fuel consumption in the forest harvesting process by at least 15%.
